Playing the post: The Catch

After sealing your defender off (if playing man or match-up zone defense) or bumping and flashing to your spot, you gotta catch that ball you’re calling for with your open hand.

How to catch an entry pass:

• Don’t take your eyes off the ball until it touches your hand.

• Step toward the ball as you catch it.

• Pull the ball in with 2 hands.

• Bonus: If you hop as you catch the ball and land with 2 feet, you’ll have either foot to use to pivot.
